Post No. 143: Emmanuel: "In the clay of the pot is the truth of God"

I reread the series of "Emmanuel's Books"... And as I was rereading "Emmanuel's Book - A Manual for Living Comfortably in the Cosmos," I read the quote "In the clay of the pot is the truth of God," on page xiv, which inspired me to write the poem below:

Emmanuel: "In the clay of
the pot is the truth of God"
(Or, "Emmanuel: 'There is divinity in all things'")

Emmanuel: "In the clay of the pot is the truth of God."

'In the turn of the wheel is the truth of God.'

"In the hands of the potter is the truth of God."

'In the colors of the glaze is the truth of God.'

"In the fires of the kiln is the truth of God."

'In the shelter of the home is the truth of God.'

"In the land of the farm is the truth of God."

'In the dirt of the field is the truth of God.'

"In the blade of the plow is the truth of God."

'In the engine of the tractor is the truth of God.'

"In the seeds of the field is the truth of God."

'In the flash of the lightning is the truth of God.'

"In the roll of the thunder is the truth of God."

'In the clouds of the storm is the truth of God.'

"In the droplets of the rain is the truth of God."

'In the growth of the crops is the truth of God.'

"In the gathering of the harvest is the truth of God."

'In the storing of the food is the truth of God.'

"In the cooking of the food is the truth of God."

'In the eating of the food is the truth of God.'

"In the belching of the gas is the truth of God"

'In the washing of the dishes is the truth of God.'

"In the cleaning of the house is the truth of God."

'In the warmth of the hearth is the truth of God.'

"In the light of the lamp is the truth of God."

'In the love of the soul is the truth of God.'

"In the fires of the belly is the truth of God."

'In the colors of the mind is the truth of God.'

"In the hands of the potter is the truth of God."

'In the turn of the wheel is the truth of God.'

Emmanuel: "In the clay of the pot is the truth of God."

"Emmanuel with Pat Rodegast" from emmanuelandfriends.org:

Pat Rodegast:

"Pat's journey as the channel for the spirit Emmanuel began in 1969. While working as a secretary for a publishing company and raising three teenagers, Pat began practicing Transcendental Meditation (TM). Her intent was to quiet her mind. Her experience was unique from the start as she began to see inner visions. Over the period of time, those visions evolved into clear guidance in the form of images from an ever-present light; a light who eventually introduced himself as her spirit guide named Emmanuel.

In her experience, the more she offered up her willingness to receive guidance, the more came. The visions expanded to include telepathic auditory guidance. In a short matter of time Pat was able to "put her ego aside" as she described the experience, and surrender into a full trance state; channeling Emmanuel. The results of her channeling have produced three books compiled by Pat and Judith Stanton aptly entitled 'Emmanuel's Book', 'Emmanuel's Book II', and 'Emmanuel's Book III' published by Bantam in eleven languages.

In her early days as a channel, Pat gave readings on an individual basis. These readings were so catalytic toward the self-transformation her listeners were seeking, that her popularity grew rapidly and led to what would become her life’s calling: to give readings, lectures and workshops all around the globe."

Emmanuel:

"I am perfect Love, and I am you. You have all been taught that you are born, that you live a certain length of time, and you die. No one is ever lost, physical bodies come and go, but the consciousness that created them is still the same. It is only that one of you now ceases to wear the costume of limitation.

I no longer wear this costume and offer you a faithful mirror in which you can see the truth of who you are. Which is far more than your intellects can possibly stretch to imagine. You are here on a journey of transformation to bring yourselves back into Oneness even as you remain in human form. You have spent your lives seeking to find what you have never lost, which is the essence of your being, the nobility of your purpose, the perfection of who you are.

You all hold within you the answers to every question, every confusion, without exception, but you have been taught to bury that awareness. There is nothing you do not know. You hold divine remembering, the eternal spark of perfect Love.

So look within yourself for a moment of silence…take a breath…quiet your mind and open your soul…and with your remembering, you will find your way back to the truth of who you are, and your divine presence will be your gift to the planet.

It is time to begin to stretch yourselves beyond the wildest considerations of who you are and what is possible to do. You come with infinite capacity to create the entire wondrous panorama of the lives you are living."

[By the way, the website quoted above no longer exists, but if you do an online search for "Emmanuel's Books by Pat Rodegast," you can find a lot of information about the series of three books and where to buy them...]

My Philosophical Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: I reread the series of "Emmanuel's Books"... And as I was rereading "Emmanuel's Book - A Manual for Living Comfortably in the Cosmos," I read the quote below on page xiv, which inspired me to write the poem above:

Page xiv: "'There is divinity in all things,' he pointed out,' 'and in order to find the divinity one must work with the materials at hand....In the clay of the pot is the truth of God.'"

Plus, as I continued reading "Emmanuel's Book - A Manual for Living Comfortably in the Cosmos," I read the quotes below on pages 4 and 6, respectively, which support the poem above:

Page 4: "It is within you humanity that you will learn to recognize your divinity.

The spiritual and the human have to walk hand in hand otherwise the spiritual has no foundation on which to hold.

We are all one. Ours is one reality, one energy, one perception. The mind cannot grasp this fact or accept it without battle but the heart is yearning to know it. Is this not life's purpose—to know that you belong, that you are safe and eternal, to know that in your spirit reality you are already one with God?

The human condition is not the antithesis of heaven. It is the reproduction, within a limited vision, manifest in physical form. There is nothing in human experience that does not exist in spirit.

This is why the human condition is a blessed one. It is a mirror, a faithful replica of the spirit's situation.

There is Divinity in all things and in order to find that Divinity one must work with the material at hand. To disregard the clay is to question the Divine Energy that formed it."

Page 6: "Life experiences are the outer symbol of what the soul wants to know.

Each soul enters in to a physically symbolized reality of that soul's conscious resistance to the inner Light. So when you experience your human life, view it as an outer manifestation of the longing and also of the denial of that longing. Every soul that incarnates carries with it negativity or it would not take birth at all.

When you enter into a human life you enter into a perceptual falsehood. that is what the Eastern traditions call illusion. If you treat the illusion as truth you may become embittered, fearful and ill.

Instead, come into life assuming the perspective of the creator of that life, and see it all as a wondrous and valuable learning experience. You can see within each circumstance where you have been the potter of the clay and in the outer reality of your creation you can detect the mirror image of your inner self."

In addition to the quotes above, I wanted to mention that I do not agree with everything that Emmanuel says, which includes the quotes below on pages 219 and 220, respectively, having to do with "the strange weather we've been having" (which I interpret as a reference to global warming) and the use of nuclear energy:

Page 219: "Is there cosmic significance to the strange weather we've been having?

"Do not read disaster into natural phenomena. The earth is very wise. She is simply balancing her ecology."

Page 220: "How should we view the threat of nuclear power?

"Without fear. Do not fear nuclear power per se. It is part of God's universe.

Nothing in God's world is evil. It is what is done with it. Respect nuclear energy. Use it with wisdom. It will then be allowed its proper place in your world. No more, no less."

And this poem was formerly published on my "Three Dark Horses" and "Small All White in the Forest" blogs, but I decided to only publish "Emmanuel's Books-Inspired Poetry" on my "Poet, Artist and Philosopher" blog, because these posts are more about philosophy and so is this blog.

Thus, this poem was only published on my "Poet, Artist and Philosopher" blog.

This poem was written in Portland, Oregon.
