(Why I Stay) Hidden Away
[A "Hidden Away" song lyrical adaptation]
By way of poems and some philosophy,
Plus, through great blogging,
You can watch for me!
The highest feeling I've got inside;
I just can't wait to get profound with what's wise!
But, all these words that I'm meant to say,
Are written in secret, day after day;
These words of kindness
That your dear hearts crave:
For, I must keep them hidden away...
I cannot sing it out, since I may not live—
And I can't take it anymore that way!
So, I'm sending out something I believe in
And that's all I really need to say!
I must confide in my heart,
I need to hide in my heart:
That's why I keep my heart hidden away...
You're all a wonder, how bright you shine,
So many candles in each lifetime;
But I am a secret dreamer, who never shows,
If anybody sees me, then everybody knows!
So, all these words that I'm meant to say,
Are written in secret, day after day;
These words of kindness
That your dear hearts crave:
For, I must keep them hidden away...
I cannot sing it out, since I may not live—
And I can't take it anymore that way!
So, I'm sending out something I believe in
And that's all I really need to say!
I want you to feel my love,
But I can't reveal my love:
That's why I keep my love hidden away...
I want to confide in my heart,
But I need to hide in my heart:
That's why I keep my heart hidden away...

My Philosophical Notes:
The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: "So, all these words that I'm meant to say, are written in secret, day after day; These words of kindness that your dear hearts crave: For, I must keep them hidden away... I cannot sing it out, since I may not live—and I can't take it anymore that way! So, I'm sending out something I believe in and that's all I really need to say!"
This poem is a lyrical adaptation of the song "Hidden Away" written by Josh Groban and Dan Wilson, which is a way for me to explain why I stay hidden away. (Please see the hyperlinks below for the video and for the lyrics.)
And this poem was also published on my "Small All White in the Forest" and "Paul Whiting — A Creative Writer" blogs (please see the hyperlinks below for the blogs), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message I am trying to convey through "Small All White in the Forest" and "Paul Whiting — A Creative Writer."
This poem was lyrically adapted in Portland, Oregon.

"Hidden Away" from AZlyrics:
Over mountains and sky blue seas
On great circles will you watch for me?
The sweetest feeling I’ve got inside
I just can’t wait to get lost in your eyes
And all these words that you meant to say
Held in silence day after day
Words of kindness that our poor hearts crave
Please don’t keep them hidden away
Sing it out so I can finally breathe in,
I can take in all you say
Holding out for something i believe in
All I really need today
I want to free your heart
I want to see your heart
Please don’t keep your heart hidden away
You’re a wonder, how bright you shine
A flickering candle in a short lifetime
A secret dreamer that never shows
If no one sees you then nobody knows
And all these words you were meant to say
Held in silence day after day
Words of kindness that our poor hearts crave
Please don't keep them hidden away
Sing it out so I can finally breathe in
I can take in all you say
Reaching out for someone I believe in
All I really need today
I want to feel your love
Will you reveal your love
Please don’t keep your love hidden away
I want to free your heart
I want to see your heart
Please don’t keep your heart hidden away
